Our Community is running its annual Board Builder conference in Melbourne on 6 March 2017.  This annual conference is a staple in the training and development calendars of many community organisations and provides access to speakers, ideas and resources of merit.

This year, the theme is “The Butterfly Effect: Small Changes, Big Impacts”, and the long list of speakers is headlined by American-based data scientist Andrew Means who will look to highlight how board directors can lead their organisations confidently into the new technological era.

Event Summary

There’s nothing quite like standing shoulder to shoulder and working for a cause. But if your board’s not working well the whole thing can start to feel too hard, too painful. Sometimes just a small tweak can create enormous change. But how do you know where to focus? At Board Builder 2017 you’ll hear solutions to some of the problems that plague not-for-profit boards, and learn how to clear a path to greater impact.

This is the Board Builder Conference designed BY the people FOR the people! We surveyed Institute of Community Directors Australia members and asked them what they wanted to learn about at the 2017 Board Builder. Thanks to all who responded, we have designed what we think is the best Board Builder Conference yet!
