Getting it Together (GIT) helps young people aged 12-25 find opportunities for positive change in relation to their drug and alcohol use; building self-esteem and improving their life skills through individual and family-focused interventions and group work.

Sometimes it can seem that life is spiralling out of control, causing depression and emotional distress. GIT helps young people to create positive change in their lives and stop the downward spiral.

GIT supports young people (12-25 yrs) to find opportunities for positive change in their lives through:

  • education on the impacts of alcohol and other drugs
  • the creation of ongoing positive family and community relationships
  • building self-esteem, personal growth and life skills
  • addressing personal issues and health problems
  • harm minimisation strategies
  • connecting young people to specialist services where appropriate.
