The Indie Project

The Indie Project

Are you supporting a young person who is neurodivergent, living with disability, chronic illness, or struggling with their mental health? From making friends to moving out of home, The Indie Project aims to equip young people with life skills, build their confidence and help them thrive in independence.

What is the Indie Project?

The Indie Project is a fun and creative, music-based program that aims to build self-confidence and peer connections for the students involved.

Who is The Indie Project for?

The Indie Project is designed for high school students who are neurodivergent, have a disability or chronic illness, or just needing some extra support with their wellbeing and connection to others. The sessions are fully inclusive and accessible, with activities focusing on individual strengths and interests. Musical ability is not required.

The program has potential to be delivered across Queensland, with an initial focus on the regions of the Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich, and Toowoomba.

Funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
