Owned by Byron Shire Council and managed by Social Futures, Byron CoLab on Arakwal Country is a welcoming environment hosting a diverse range of education providers, businesses, community service providers, allied health, arts and community groups working together to build resilience and capacity in our local community.
We have limited community and commercial rental space available at 2 Wordsworth Street, Byron Bay.
We welcome for-purpose organisations that strive to support community enrichment, such as allied health and education providers, peak bodies, and arts and cultural organisations.

Our Byron Bay shared office space offers flexible coworking areas, meeting rooms, and micro-offices designed for productivity and connection in a professional community setting.
To avoid disappointment, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to book coworking spaces, meeting rooms or micro-offices.

Visitor reception at the main entrance on Wordsworth Street is open 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Limited 2-hour visitor parking available in our car park off Shirley St., and untimed, metred parking available on Wordsworth St. Is free for Byron Shire Parking Permit holders.

The site (formerly known as the old Byron Hospital) has been refurbished to provide office space for long-term tenancies, coworking rental space and meeting room hire.
Prospective tenants who share the vision to support community wellbeing and connection are welcome to email: [email protected].
Some examples of tenants could include allied health and wellbeing practitioners, youth and family services, education providers, community groups or cultural organisations.
The centre aims to include a mix of not-for-profit and for-profit organisations, all of which will provide a service of purpose to the community.
The Community Advisory Group and tenants are workIng cooperatively to discuss community events and activities at the site.
