We are thrilled to share that Ben Williams, our Dubbo-based Lac Team Leader, has won Outstanding Employee at the 2026 Western NSW Business Awards. The Social Futures team is incredibly proud of Ben, whose dedication, leadership and commitment to community always shines through.

Ben joined our team in 2020 and brought with him a contagious warmth and positive energy to everything he does. Stepping into the role of Team Leader in June 2024, he now guides a large and geographically dispersed local area coordination team right across Western NSW. Local area coordinators support NDIS participants and other people with disability to set and achieve life goals, develop strengths and abilities, and connect with key supports, so they can live the lives they choose.

Ben is a passionate advocate for people with disability, consistently going above and beyond to ensure people can access the support they need to thrive. He is also a respected cultural mentor for First Nations staff and a natural community builder.

“Ben is a true champion for inclusion,” said Shayne, “his actions every day are underpinned by his desire to bring people together. His team is one of the most cohesive and close-knit teams even despite the great distance they cover. This says a lot about Ben and the way he operates.”

“It is wonderful to see someone who so richly deserves recognition receive it in this way. We were cheering loudly on the night!” Shayne said.

Next up, Ben will travel to Sydney to represent our region at the State Business Awards on Friday, 30 October 2026.

Huge congratulations to you Ben!
