At Social Futures, fostering a positive workplace culture is central to how we operate. By supporting and empowering our employees, we enable them to deliver life-changing programs and services that strengthen communities across regional NSW and South East Queensland. Some of our initiatives include:

  • Great Workplace accreditation – In 2024, we gained WRK+ accreditation, formally recognising our commitment to staff wellbeing.
  • Celebrating diversity – Staff-led networks like Our Mob (First Nations employees), the Rainbow Group (LGBTIQSB+ staff), LEAP (Lived Experience Advisory Panel) and the Disability Peer Network provide spaces for staff voices and ongoing inclusion.
  • Equity in practice – Social Futures maintains a 0% gender pay gap.
  • Living our values – Integrity, inclusion and learning guide everything we do.

The Business NSW Awards highlight the commitment, talent and innovation that abounds in our Northern Rivers community. Congratulations to category winner Biala Support Services and all finalists, we are proud to stand alongside those who, like us, are dedicated to building strong, supportive workplaces.

This award affirms that when we invest in our people, we also invest in our communities. Social Futures employees feel supported to bring their whole selves to work, and that translates into meaningful outcomes for the 30,700+ people we support each year.
