Supported Temporary Accommodation

Social Futures provides supported temporary accommodation for people experiencing homelessness or those at risk of homelessness. 

With onsite management, 24/7 security patrols and specialist housing and clinical staff, residents are achieving better housing outcomes through provision of a safe, supported service which will break the cycle of homelessness and give people a genuine pathway to stability and long-term housing.  

Eligibility for temporary accommodation is assessed by the NSW Government through Link2home and/or the local NSW Department of Communities and Justice.  

Initial approvals and ongoing length of stay are determined by Homes NSW.

With onsite management, 24/7 security and secure access, we are committed to ensuring the safety of residents, staff and the local community. 

By providing people with a safe place to stay, we aim to reduce rough sleeping in our area, fostering a positive impact on Tweed and Lismore’s streets and community spaces. 

Similar programs across Australia have shown that well-managed housing with support services leads to reduced homelessness, better social outcomes, and safer communities. 

We are hopeful that the area will see a crime reduction as the security patrols, police support and cameras will soon become evident and deter people from the street and the area.  

The facility is designed to have a minimal impact on traffic, with ample parking, public transport and local services.
