Assertive Outreach: bringing support to you

Our Assertive Outreach Team works on the ground with people sleeping rough in the Tweed Heads and Byron Bay areas.

We know it is challenging to access support when you’re living on the streets, so we bring support to you. If you are, or someone you know is, sleeping rough, please contact our intake line.

We will help you to:

  • Find short-term housing and work towards a long-term housing plan
  • Connect to culturally appropriate health, mental health and wellbeing services
  • Rebuild your family, community and cultural connections
  • Support you with daily living and self-management skills
  • Link you to financial, employment or tenancy support and advocate for your needs.

Our team will work with you to build a strong, supportive relationship founded on trust and encouragement. We will stand beside you and help you to rebuild your world.

Our team works collaboratively with other Specialist Homelessness Services, NSW Department of Communities and Justice and NSW Health.

Important note: Social Futures does not provide temporary or crisis accommodation. If you are experiencing homelessness and need emergency accommodation please call Link2Home 1800 152 152 or follow this link to a range of 24 hour emergency contacts.

Proudly funded by the NSW Government
