Are you struggling with alcohol or other drugs?

Social Futures is providing a new free alcohol and other drugs support service for the Upper Hunter. You don’t need a referral to visit – just walk in, phone or email us. We are here for everyone in Singleton, Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Muswellbrook, Maitland and surrounds.  We offer specialised support to young people, parents with young children and pregnant people.

Our team can help you with:

  • managing withdrawal
  • plans for when tempted to drink or use again
  • reducing harm if you’re not yet ready to quit
  • counselling
  • accessing specialists and clinical services
  • coordinating your care.

You can visit our Singleton hub at 2/16 Cambridge St, Singleton, talk over the phone, or we can meet you over telehealth (online) – the choice is yours. Our team will welcome you and listen. Together we will work out how to best support you.

We’re a multidisciplinary crew, meaning we have a range of skills. The team includes a drug and alcohol nurse, alcohol and other drug counsellors, Support Navigators, Peer Workers and an Aboriginal alcohol and other drugs worker. When you arrive, we’ll do an assessment to work out the type of care you need and we’ll look at all the available options with you, so together we can decide on the next steps.
