We invite all members of the early support sector (people working with children, young people, and families) to contribute to the Capacity Building Needs Analysis, a collaborative Communities for Children ‒ Better Chances Forum project, which will inform planning, design, and delivery of sector capacity building activities.
Our sector-wide questionnaire is open now and will be, a springboard for further engagement activities.
We would like all members of the early support sector to contribute to the needs analysis. This includes everyone who has participated in CFC and/or BCF capacity building activities so far, and anyone working with children, young people and their families and communities in the Northern Rivers NSW including across Bundjalung, Yaegl and part of Gumbaynggirr Country. This includes the Tweed, Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Kyogle, Richmond Valley, and Clarence Valley local government areas.
Kat Stroud (Social Futures Project Officer) Rosealie Vallance (YWCA’s CFC Partnerships Coordinator) will lead the sector needs analysis, supported by Ian O’Reilly (Social Futures’ Team Leader – Social Strategy) and Lisa Jovaisa (YWCA’s Team Leader – CFC).
Participating in the needs analysis is voluntary, but we’d love you to. Your perspectives and experience of our sector training and development needs are valuable!
We won’t identify who said what in the questionnaire or other engagement activities unless you specifically agree. We will instead refer to terms such as ‘sector members’ in any written reports. If there is a story or information about your work being considered for inclusion in a report, we may contact you to discuss if and how you would like to be acknowledged and identified.
We would like to share the needs analysis learnings and findings more broadly, and we look forward to incorporating your perspective in future capacity building activities.
If you would like to discuss the project please contact [email protected] or [email protected] or call Lisa 0490 293 190 or Ian 0438 005 798.
BCF is convened by Social Futures as part of the Early Intervention Connect program, which is funded by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice under the Targeted Earlier Intervention program. YWCA Communities for Children is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
