Social Futures Blind cricket experience is bowling over schools in the Central Coast and Northern NSW.
Our Blind Cricket experience helps to raise awareness of disability and demonstrates how our communities can adapt and be inclusive to all – in this case through sport.
Our 60 minute Blind Cricket sessions are delivered to Central Coast Schools by former captain of the NSW Blind Cricket Team, Scott Jones, and in the Northern Rivers by Local Area Coordinator, Judi Sandicock.
Our facilitators share their own stories of living with a disability and explain how mainstream activities can be adapted to include people with
disabilities.
Perfectly pitched toward students in upper primary school, we can work with your school to adjust for the preferred group size.
Students will take part in an interactive game of blind cricket that will see them using experiential glasses and chime balls to
experience first-hand how activities can be adapted to include people with vision impairment.
Primary schools who’d like Scott to deliver this FREE program can contact Social Futures on [email protected] or 1800 522 679.
