Youth and community

We provide a range of programs for young people, to encourage them to achieve their potential. Some are open to all young people, others are more targeted to young people with specific needs; and require referrals from agencies and professionals.


At headspace Lismore and Tweed Heads, 12-25 year olds going through a tough time can access free support.

We offer heaps of services like: Mental Health and Wellbeing, Sexual Health, Youth Worker Support, Alcohol and Other Drug Services, Connections to Education, Employment and more!

Lismore Young Songwriters Competition

The Lismore Young Songwriters Competition attracts entries from budding young composers and musicians aged 12-25 across the Northern Rivers.

B-Space Ballina

B-Space is a creative hub in Ballina. It’s a place where young people can try new things, meet new people and grow their creativity! It’s a fun, vibrant, innovative space for 12-17 year olds from all walks of life where they can create a space that’s all their own.

The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is an Innovative out-of-school tech space for young people aged 12-18, and is part of a world-wide network.

Connecting You (HYAP)

Connecting You helps young people (aged 12-15) from Tweed Heads to Grafton who are having problems at home, or who are at risk of becoming homeless.

Links to Learning

Links to learning supports high school students to build team work, communications and relationship skills outside the classroom environment.

Reconnect and GIT

Reconnect and GIT support young people at risk of homelessness and/or who have drug and alcohol problems due to the breakdown of family relationships.

Youth on Track

Youth on Track is designed to help teens (10-17 years) who are at risk of long-term involvement in the criminal justice system get back on track.
