One of Australia’s national treasures and leading human rights advocates, Julian Burnside QC, is the keynote speaker at the Ngara Institute’s first Annual Lecture which takes place at Mullumbimby Civic Hall, 1st July, 5.30-8.30pm.

Julian will be reflecting on the importance of activism and the future of human rights in a rapidly changing world. He will draw particular attention to the plight of refugees seeking sanctuary in Australia, and how activist organisations have sought to guarantee their protection under international conventions.
