Participant Learning Outcomes:  This one-day course is suitable for CEOs, Managers and anyone in a supervisory role. Designed for participants to gain an understanding of the key principles of a person centred approach to workplace supervision, and gather tools to implement a structured supervision framework in their organisation.

Course Outline: The person centred workplace supervision workshop is suitable for all human service sector managers and is as useful for first time supervisors as it is for those who have been in a role for a while and would like to refresh and update their practice.   The workshop provides insight into the key elements of a supervision model that places learning at the core, with communication and feedback modules to support the way in which we individualise our approach each staff member, whilst maintaining a consistent process across the organisation. There are range of person centred tools and forms offered that can be tailored to your organisational needs.

Key Subjects: Why person centred? What is supervision, why do we do it, roles and responsibilities, communication and feedback, person centred tools and forms.

Facilitator: Tim Childs is an experienced trainer and facilitator and has worked in and with the human services sector for most of his career. Tim has been a CEO and Manager of several organisations and has run a consulting and training business for the past 8 years. Tim holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Masters of Strategic Foresight as well as qualifications in group facilitation and adult learning. Tim is a member of the Institute of Learning Professionals and the Association of Professional Futurists.

Registration, Payment and Cancellation Policy:

Registration is required to secure your place in Social Futures’ workshops. For fee-paying workshops, you may pay by credit card or by Electronic Funds Transfer upon check out. Your registration details will be confirmed upon receipt of your payment.

As we are a not for profit organisation we are unable to provide refunds, but are if you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another person who meets the entry criteria. Please let us know of any changes to the participants who will attend.

Workshops may occasionally be cancelled due to insufficient numbers. If this is necessary, we will notify you as soon as possible and a full refund will be given.
