Emotional Intelligence – for leaders and teams

    This training is for leaders and team members in the human services sector (aged care, disability services and youth among others). It will also help business managers, HR professionals and individuals interested in having more effective relationships with peers, supervisors and staff alike.

    Participation Price: CHSP/CCSP Worker $200/ All Others $250

    The course will explore the theory and science behind emotional intelligence (EI), where the GENOS model came from and why EI is useful in business.

    Participants will complete an EI profile to learn about their strengths and weaknesses. Focusing on your strengths, the workshop will explore simple, powerful and effective strategies based around Emotional Intelligence that will help you become a more effective leader or team member and a better communicator.

    Key subject areas covered include:

    • Enhancing Self Awareness
    • Building Resilience
    • Developing strategies to motivate others
    • Strategies to manage your time and day better by helping you focus more effectively
    • Tools to help you better notice and manage behaviours in others
    • Having better business conversations by linking facts with feelings more effectively

    Participant Learning Outcomes:

    • Discover origins and science behind emotional Intelligence
    • List and describe behaviours associated with six skill areas of emotional intelligence
    • Brainstorm and action plan strategies for self and team back in the workplace

    Facilitator: Nick Mills is an experienced leadership facilitator and coach with a passion for learning and facilitating change. He has worked with senior managers in professional services, corporate, not-for-profit and government agencies in Australia, as a leadership program facilitator, coach, trainer’s trainer and sales trainer. He currently facilitates many neuroscience and Emotional Intelligence related topics. He has successfully managed and led management and leadership programs focused on building individual capability, with an emphasis on neuroscience, developing emotional intelligence and personal resilience. Business leaders have described his coaching as insightful and transformative.

    Registration is required to secure your place in this workshop. You can pay by paypal or by Electronic Funds Transfer. Your registration will be confirmed upon receipt of payment.

    Social Futures is a not-for-profit organisation and our training is costed accordingly. Once the course and your participation in it has been confirmed, refunds will not be provided but if you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible as you can arrange to transfer your place to another person. Workshops occasionally need to be cancelled due to insufficient participant numbers. Should this be necessary, we will notify you as soon as possible and a full refund will be given.
