The Social Strategy team at Social Futures works to build capability in the human services sector –  working collaboratively to achieve better results alongside communities. Our vision is a Northern Rivers where:

  • everyone has a home
  • everyone has a way to get where they need to go
  • children, young people and their families have the best chance to reach their potential
  • older people can stay in their own home and participate in their community.

Better Chances Forum

The Better Chances Forum (BCF) supports better chances for children, young people and their families by bringing together workers from organisations across the Northern Rivers.

Northern Rivers Housing Forum

Purpose of the Northern Rivers Housing Forum is to highlight housing and homelessness issues and needs, identify challenges, and determine innovative and sustainable approaches to address these issues across the region.

Transport Development Project

The Northern Rivers Transport Development Project aims to reduce transport disadvantage and improves access to affordable transport options.

Community Aged Care Sector

Social Futures’ Community Aged Care Sector Support program is funded under the Commonwealth Home Support Program to support the development of the home support service system and enable Commonwealth Home Support Program service providers.

Northern Rivers Social Change Collaboration

The Northern Rivers Social Change Collaboration brings community and government organisations together to work collectively to improve community wellbeing; and attract and facilitate investment for positive social impact in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
