What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support to people with disabilities, their families and carers.

People who meet the NDIS access requirements are called participants. Participants receive an individual plan and funded supports.

Local Area Coordinators assist participants to join the NDIS, help to prepare and commence their funding plans.

  1. The NDIS is driving growth in the disability workforce. About 3000 full-time job opportunities will be created in Western and Far Western NSW.
  2. By 2019 the NDIS estimates about 7,200 participants will have NDIS plans in place in your region.
  3. NDIS Participants will have more spending power, providing opportunities for businesses and the communities they serve.
