The Deaf Society welcomes all deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, non-verbal children, CODAS and their families. The Lismore office is running TWO Bilingual English Auslan for Socialisation and Chit Chat activity groups suitable for children aged from 2-3 years of age to 12 years of age, on Wednesday 21 and 28 June.

This is in a relaxed environment to explore basic Auslan, learn signs that are useful for children in the home, and meet other families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. It is an opportunity for your child to come and enjoy bilingual play experiences with other children, participate in activities such as StoryTime, which will be delivered in Auslan and spoken English.

The trainers will use English and Auslan for everything, it does not matter whether your family signs, speaks or both!

WHEN: Wednesday 21 and 28 June
TIME: 4pm – 5.15pm
WHERE: The Deaf Society, 22 Conway Street, Lismore.

Gold coin donation for use of Lismore Library craft materials. Bring afternoon tea for your child. If you – or someone you know – are interested in this activity group, please register with ASAP. Email [email protected] or text 0422 013 451.
