CONNECT is looking for an Aboriginal Youth Support Officer to work across the two Education Support programs. Applications must be received by 4.00pm Thursday 16 February.

The role will include but not be limited to:

  • Organising and facilitating work-readiness and career planning workshops;
  • Providing one-on-one mentoring for School-based Trainees and young people at-risk of disengaging from school;
  • Identifying traineeship and employment opportunities for participating young people;
  • Liaising with young people, families, schools, training providers, employers and local services to negotiate successful outcomes for Indigenous young people.

CONNECT is a not-for-profit, incorporated organisation facilitating programs for young people throughout the Northern Rivers region from Tweed Heads to Grafton, and West to Woodenbong and Bonalbo. CONNECT programs support young people to engage with school and successfully transition into education, training and employment.
