A Pathways workshop “Pathways: Creating Opportunity for Aboriginal People with Disability” will be held in Tweed Heads 24 May 2018, venue to be confirmed.
Supported by the Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS), organisers are inviting representatives who manage staff from mainstream organisations to participate in the workshop.
The program is FREE and comprises of a half day (3-hour) face-to-face workshop plus access to online learning resources. Key focus themes of “Pathways: Creating Opportunity for Aboriginal People with Disability” include:
- Increasing staff cultural awareness about Aboriginal people and specific issues relating to those with disability
- Development of strategies that aim to improve service delivery to Aboriginal people with disability.
- Becoming an employer of choice for Aboriginal people.
