Promoting wellbeing and resilience in our children and young people

Mijung Jarjums Kids in Mind promotes the wellbeing of children and young people up to 18 years of age who are at risk of developing – or showing early signs of – mental illness, and their families. Non-clinical mental health services aim to reduce the risk factors and increase the protective factors that can facilitate resilience in young people.

Mijung Jarjums = Happy Kids in Bundjalung Language

We all want kids and young people to be well, happy and to lead full lives. But sometimes being a kid can be tough and there are times when we all need someone to talk to. Mijung Jarjums Kids in Mind is all about promoting wellbeing and resilience in our kids and young people. It’s about recognising when our kids need a little extra support and ensuring that those children who are vulnerable to developing mental illness, get the help and support they need.
