The NSW Government is working with Family and Community Services (FACS) to develop a Disability Inclusion Plan (DIP). This will focus on identifying and breaking down barriers for people with a disability whilst creating more meaningful opportunities in the community, and they’re looking for people to contribute.

The plan has four focus areas that are aimed at creating long term change and require consistent efforts from government and the wider community. The focus areas are:

  • Developing positive community attitudes and behaviours
  • Creating liveable communities
  • Supporting access to meaningful employment
  • Improving access to mainstream services through better systems and processes
