The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Interagency will be delivering a full day training in Lismore to increase the capacity of local services to address the needs of LGBTIQ people, including sistergirls and brotherboys, regarding their experiences of domestic and family violence. It’s on Thursday September 14 at Lismore Community Legal Centre.

At the LGBTIQ DFV Interagency meeting at Tweed Heads in August 2016, a key recommendation was to conduct a training day to assist local services to better meets the needs of their LGBTIQ clients

All workers who want to increase their confidence and competence in servicing their LGBTIQ clients in accessing domestic and family violence services and support are encouraged to attend this innovative training.
